In this series, you will learn the basics of how yoga poses, breathing exercises, meditation, and mindfulness can help counteract stress and help regulate your nervous system. You will learn: - Breathing exercises that can boost your energy when you are feeling resistant or depressed and calm your energy when you feel overwhelmed, stressed or anxious. - How to use yoga postures to build body awareness, so that you can identify the physiological sensations that accompany stress, anxiety, depression, PTSD triggers, and habit/addiction cravings. - Guided Meditation Techniques that help release tension in your body and learn how your subconscious mind works. - How to listen to watch your thoughts, befriend your mind, navigate limiting beliefs, and take a peek at what is in your subconscious mind. Please come to class ready to move! Wear clothes that are not too tight and not too loose, bring a water bottle, a yoga mat, a journal or notebook and something to write with.
